Grade 70 Chain (TRANSPORT CHAIN)
Grade 70 Chain is heat treated carbon steel chain . This is approximately 20% higher strength chain than Grade 43. This chain is designed for use such applications as trucking industry, logging industries, towing, highway crews for load securement and general purposes other than overhead lifting. This chain will elongate before breaking but does not have the properties needed for overhead lifting. Therefore, Grade 70 chain is not intended for overhead lifting. The chain link is marked every 3 feet with TKC and G70 in order to identify manufacturer and grade. The chain is heat treated with Quenching and Tempering method. Regarding to its use and application, Carburizing can be used to increase the surface hardness of the chain after Quenching and Tempering . Grade 70 chain is tested proof load with Open Crosshead Computer Servo Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine and tested hardness with Digital Rockwell Type Hardness Tester. Grade 70 chain is manufactured to meet American Standard Of Testing Material ASTM A413/ A413M specification
