Grade 100 Chain (GRADE 100 ALLOY STEEL CHAIN)
Grade 100 Chain is heat treated alloy steel chain with approximately 25 % higher strength than grade 80. Grade 100 chain is primarily used as a sling component for overhead lifting, and can be used for all the same applications as Grade 30, 43, 70 and 80. The chain link is marked every 3 feet with TKC and G100 in order to identify manufacturer and grade. The chain is heat treated with Quenching and Tempering method. Regarding to its use and application, Carburizing can be used to increase the surface hardness of the chain after Quenching and Tempering . Grade 100 chain is tested proof load, bending deflection with Open Crosshead Computer Servo Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine and tested hardness with Digital Rockwell Type Hardness Tester. Lastly, chain is calibrated to the dimensional requirements for properly size. Grade 100 chain is manufactured to meet American Standard Of Testing Material ASTM A973- A973M specification.
